Lg Air Conditioners

Hi, My air conditioner never did it before, but now its been leaking outside, on the ground, Its working fine… But I was just wondering if its ok for it to be doing this… or do I need to tell my land lord. and why does it do this if its ok.
Ya its just leaking water I believe. I mean how do you know?

i am thinking of Toshiba vs LG Artcool vs Hitachi vs Panasonic (heard too many bad stories about panasonic lately though)

I have weird old windows with the aftermarket aluminum storms. The frame for the storm is higher than the bottom window sill. Last year we had a lot of air leakage around the air conditioner and the water didn’t drain properly. My hubby won’t put them in again until I figure something out and it’s getting hot up here!

we are in melbourne australia..and are in the process of deciding which split cycle airconditioning system to buy………..but, have no knowledge of which ones are good, and which to avoid…

do you have a split cycle ?
which brand do you have?
would you reccomend it ? why/why not

we are thinking of going with fujitsu…………the company is suggesting LG but ive heard too many bad things about LG…….is this your experience???

i am planning to get an A.C… suggest me which is the best… whether it is ONIDA,LG,SAMSUNG,HITACHI,VOLTAS,O-GENERAL???????

I have windows in my dining room that have bars on them. I didn’t put the bars there, this is a place that I’m renting. I would like to install an air conditioner but with the bars there, I don’t see how the air conditioner would fit. Other than removing the bars, which is not an option, is there any other way to install an AC? Do they make ACs that don’t have that large back?

Our window air conditioner stopped running a few evenings ago, despite the fact that it was running perfectly at the time. IT won’t run at all now. The same day, our brand new built-in microwave stopped working. It acts like it is heating things, but they come out cold. Does that seem like more than coincidence? What would cause them to stop working?

I have to put an air conditioner in my living room. its close to 400 sq ft (L shaped)
need help a few things
- select the tonnage? should i go with 2 Ton?
- brand selection. everyone seems to say OGeneral is the best but if i compare the compressor. OGeneral gives Rotary Compressor while LG gives me Reciporactory. I think Reciporactory work better on high temperatures like in india.
- LG is 20k cheaper than OGeneral. is the power consumption that much superioir with OGeneral to justify the added cost.
Only thing i m worried with LG is power consumption. i dont want to save 20k upfront & then end up paying 2k on electricity very month.

I recently got my Air Conditioner serviced befor the on-set of summer. Now when I switch on the Air Conditioner I find some foul smell in the room. Though while sitting in the room, one may not notice much, but when somebody enters the room one immediately gets that smell. Can anybody tell me what can be the problem.

my air conditioner does now power up, it starts up for a few minutes but it does not cool the place up. it hums for aboot 5 mins then shuts off it does it every 5 to ten minutes on and off on and off what can be the problem ?

I am going to need a window air conditioner this year. But the new apartments I am living in have windows that slide side to side, not up and down. My question is, how do I install a window air conditioner in this kind of window? It was so much easier in my last apartments because I could just pull the window down on it and slide out the attachments and me done.

If you turn the key twice so its just b4 starting will the air conditioner work? someone said it wouldn’t but when i turn it twice the air conditioner light turns on!

I have a fairly open upstairs apartment. The living room and dining room are mostly the open part. The kitchen is down a sliiiight hall from the dining room, and then off that is another small hall with my 3 bedrooms and bathroom.

Should I buy one big air conditioner or a few small ones?

can u tell me which brand is persist more n tolerate hight heat n long use cuz im living in a very hot place so i need to turn it on all the time

It is a fairly new air conditioner brought about 5 years ago.

The model i just purchased is a Royal Sovereign 12,000 BTU air portable air conditioner. It comes with a water tank and instructions to fill the tank halfway. Once i attach the tank water immediately leaks out of the exhaust port. What gives?!!!!!

I heard that portable air conditioner breaks down easily and produce unbearable noise while working, also the cooling effect is inferior to that of the wall-mounted one. Is this true?

Anyway, it seems like branded companies like LG, Panasonic and Samsung didn’t produce any portable air conditioner.

The windows i have are harvey, they have plastic frames. Would a small one room air conditioner crack the frame if it is put into the window. The plastic is about 5mm thick. If that is an issue what is the best way to install it?

I recently purchased a window air conditioner. I realized that when I open the vent and just put it on fan mode, it doesn’t really take in much of the outside air.

Can I place this in a window sideways. . when I bought the air conditioner they told me not to tip it on its side. .but someoen said I could put it in the window sideways. . is this true if not please tell me why I cannot place this in the window sideways! thanks

The air conditioner is brand new and the tech said the freon is misplaced and it will take about 24 hrs for it to get back to normal is this true?

I have a basement apartment with small windows. I already have an air conditioner that fits in the space, but I don’t know how to close it in the window. Does anyone know how to make an AC stay in a basement window?
The window is not a sliding window. It lifts in and has a pole to hold it open.
