Turning the switch the on position will make the inside fan come on and stay on. Setting it in the auto position will allow it to turn on and off automatically with the rest of the unit outside and at what ever your temprature setting is on your thermostat.
The auto setting on the thermostat will keep the ac on until the room reaches the preset temperature The on setting will keep the AC going until you turn it off, at least this is how mine works
nates right !
THE AUTO WILL SHUT THE UNIT OFF WHEN TEMP I MEET THAT YOU HAVE IT SET FOR. ON MEAN THE UNIT FAN MOTOR WILL CONTINUE TO RUN CONSTANTLY REGARDLESS IS THE OUTSIDE UNIT IS RUNNING OR NOT.
John T has the correct answer.
